Lake County Indiana Tea Party, Mark J. Leyva Homophobic?

To start this off, I participate in a variety of Tea Party events and have attended events where the Lake County Tea Party has been present.  I found the members friendly and enthusiastic in their promotion of the group motto, “Taking Action-Taking Responsibility-Taking Back America”.

From its inception by leader Mark J. Leyva, there has been suspicion that this Tea Party is exactly what the National Tea Party Patriots warned us about, the Republicans will attempt to take over the Tea Party for political gain.  The self-proclaimed Leader of this Tea Party, Mark J. Leyva is a perennial candidate for Congress, having run for that office hoping to unseat Pete Visclosky since 1998.  That is a long time and Mark is on his way into the Indiana Hall Of Fame as a perennial candidate, which by definition is a candidate who runs with little or no hope of winning. He just keeps running and running and when Mark Leyva wins the primary, it is a guaranteed win for Visclosky come November in the general election, as years of the Leyva vs Visclosky races have shown us. Pete Visclosky loves it and may even support Mark’s campaign from afar because if Mark wins, Pete wins.

The URL to Mark Leyva’s Tea Party site reads, “http://teamgopin.com/wordpress/”.  Read that again, it is “Team Grand Old Party (GOP) Indiana”.  He created his tea party site as an extension of the Republican Party. Those of us in NWI, knowing of Mark Leyva’s many political campaigns, smelled something foul when he claimed to be a Tea Party Leader.  His Lake County Tea Party has not yet captured much support in the area.  Lake County has a large population and with Mark in control of this Tea Party it has floundered in obscurity. To gather a 25 to 100 people at a rally = failure when you have population numbers that are greater than the next county over, Porter county, which has drawn 1000 people to its rallies. Quite a few Lake County people attend the Porter County rallies held by Faith Jones of the Northwest Indiana Patriots, (discussion board here.) Faith is a regular citizen who has no political aspirations, unlike Mark Leyva who jumped onto the Tea Party bandwagon to use it as a tool for his never-ending campaign for Congress. I might post more on another day, discussing the candidate forums where Mark Leyva talks about the Tea Party during campaign forums, speaking of his hopes the Tea Party will do what he has not been able to do in 12 years, and that being winning a general election. Unfortunately, the INTeaParty down in Indianapolis has fallen for the Leyva ruse and have been behind the scenes in assisting him. (Psst, Indy, S. Martin, we need to talk).

Wouldn’t it be fitting that the Democrats down south control the Tea Party of Lake County, purposely hindering the message of the Tea Party in Lake County so as to keep people uninformed and thereby secure another Democratic win in the primary and general elections? Hmm, we have the Indy Tea Party being duped by Mark and then we may have the Democratic Party from down south actually running the Lake County Tea Party. I say ‘may’ because the evidence is there, but I don’t have my hands on it, so I cannot make a claim aside from throwing in ‘maybe’s’.

Politics is a wicked game for Lake County which ranks as one of the most corrupt in Indiana, centering in East Chicago, Indiana.  (Do a little speculation as to what is going on behind the scenes and you will be on target at least once if not twice.)

Regarding the title of this post, I wrestled with what I would say.  I appreciate the Tea Party Movement for the massive informational conduit that the grassroots organization provides.  I hesitate to lay out any claims that may detract from the movement.  Yet, I cannot ignore the path that Mark Leyva has taken.  Most know that the Tea Party is under assault from the Democratic Left as being racist, homophobic, violent and anti-American along with a host of other insults. From what I have witnessed, the opposite is true of the Indiana Tea Parties in general with one exception in the homophobic category.  In the category of homophobic I believe that Mark Leyva promotes hate against homosexuals and he does this alone, no other Tea Party joins him in that crusade.

Yeah, I said it.  Mark Leyva has an irrational fear of homosexuals. I say this because this is not the first email where Mark J. Leyva has attacked a portion of the populace, used hate and fear-mongering to further his agenda. There are other emails as evidence.

Depending on his mood, Mark Leyva sends out what he calls, “Pass On Material” email blasts.

The Mark Leyva Tea Party email blast dated April 19th, 2010 has a disturbing link on the bottom left corner.  The link is titled: Crown Point HS 19 10.doc (27k)”.

I honestly do not click on his links most of the time, but I clicked on this one. For those that do not live in this area, there is discussion regarding the National Day of Silence that was held on Friday, April 16th. The article has 335 comments so far and is not stopping.

The National Day of Silence is described on their website as this:

On the National Day of Silence hundreds of thousands of students nationwide take a vow of silence to bring attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in their schools.

I will note that studies have found that the teen population consisting of Lesbians and Gays has the higher suicidal thought plus attempted suicide rate, higher than any other group. Our children, regardless of their sexual orientation, are killing themselves because they cannot stand living in a world where they are bullied and hated not only by their peers, but by adults. Mark Leyva is Catholic, does his religion condone homosexual hate, or has he strayed?

With the knowledge that our children are vulnerable and in need of help, how can Mark Leyva promote the letter I am about to post here?  Mark J. Leyva, who dreams of being a Congressman for Indiana District 1, who wants people to believe that he cares about Northwest Indiana, promotes the degradation and isolation of a vulnerable portion of our society. If Mark J. Leyva cared about Northwest Indiana he would have NEVER included the hate filled letter against teens in his email blast, he would have stood up for that segment of the population. Mark J. Leyva proposes to represent a select demographic during a stint in Congress; he will represent some of the people, not all of the people. He not only included that letter, he promoted it, and that in itself says he agrees with this hate filled diatribe against the vulnerable teens who are gay. So yes, that makes Mark J. Leyva homophobic. No two ways about it.

Keep in mind that the Lake County Tea Party email blast this letter came with is an email that Mark Leyva approves. It is not like a discussion board where anyone can sign up and you never know what they will say.  Mark has to specifically cut and paste links in order to compose his email. Everything in that email is on purpose, selected and promoted and represents Mark J. Leyva, a candidate for Congress, District 1.  There are no gnomes that sneak in weird articles in the middle of the night, adding links to his emails. All of that is done by Mark Leyva.

So here is a letter that Mark agrees with and chose to add to his email blast. The author is unknown. Read it for yourself and ask how he can promote this unbridled hate, by an adult, aimed at teens who may be different from you.   Is this really what we want as a U.S. House of Representatives candidate?  You decide. Will this push another child to leave us, choose suicide, because she or he cannot stand living in this world?

Here is Mark J. Leyva’s approved message to the people:

Ok I am pissed to put it mild

Indiana – American Legion Post 502- South Haven steps up to the plate, will serve as the Honor Guard at April 14th Patriot event.

The South Haven American  Post 502 steps to the plate and will carry the colors for the people of Northwest Indiana at the April 14th Patriot Rally. The rally begins at 3pm at the Valparaiso Courthouse, 16 Lincolnway, Valparaiso, IN 46385. The event held April 15th last year attracted approximately 1000 citizens.

In light of Cheryl Oprisko of the Portage High School Board making the participation of the JROTC a political issue, a group of fine veterans from the American Legion: South Haven Post 502 will serve as Honor Guard this Wednesday.  The Northwest Indiana Patriots who are hosting the rally in Valparaiso are very excited to have been contacted by Doug Patton who offered their honor guard services.

Douglas Patton contacted Commander Dick Motsinger of The American Legion: South Haven Post 502 with a request to post the colors for the April 14th event and permission was granted. The Honor Guard will assemble at the  post the colors and then leave. (See rehearsal photos below)

Included in this rally will be country singer-songwriter and recording artist John Berry who will lead the National Anthem and Emily Pastore, age 11, who will plays taps. Emily Pastore is the daughter of Rob Pastore, Candidate for U.S. Congress, District 1.

Doug Patton related his views on the issue and summed it up by saying “I am upset with involving kids in politics when all they were doing is posting colors and they do it very nicely.”

You can read the newspaper account here.

“Any time we can represent this country and the veterans, we are glad
to do it,” said Chrystal Brant of Portage, the post’s sergeant-at-arms
and auxiliary vice president.

Yesterday the American Legion Post 502 held a rehearsal. On Wednesday they will present in their Honor Guard uniforms. The team includes: Doug Patton, Rob Myers, Chrystal Brant, Greg Massom, Toby Parris and Frank Van Autreve.

I encourage everyone to attend the rally Wednesday and gives these fine veterans the thank you they deserve.

Below is a slide show of the great women and men who will carry the colors in honor of America. On a side note, you can see the Portage High School in the distance, across the field in a few shots.)

Who Are the Tea Partiers? Cheryl Oprisko says they are Extremists who Incite Violence. America says Differently.

Who are the Tea Partiers?

Cheryl Oprisko would have you believe that they are extremists, akin to terrorists who serve to incite violence. Really Cheryl? America disagrees with you.

Cheryl Oprisko of the Portage Indiana High School Board declares that Northwest Indiana Patriots are Extremist. Declares Portage JROTC should be banned from carrying the Colors.

Northwest Indiana Patriots (NWIP) causing problems for the Portage JROTC or or does the real problem lie elsewhere? You decide.

Cheryl Oprisko, is a true American, backed by her husband Mark Oprisko. They are convinced that the Tea Party is a violent group of extremists and they must protect all children from exposure to a Tea Party event.  Never-mind that Tea Party events are a celebration of America where all events opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, a statement  honoring all veterans and the singing of the national anthem. Cheryl and Mark are upset that the Marine Junior ROTC from Portage High School in Indiana wants to carry the colors in the opening ceremony and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

(See the bottom of the article for the time and date of a meeting with the Portage school board to discuss Northwest Indiana Patriots and the JROTC). See UPDATE for location at bottom of article.
Is this a Northwest Indiana Tea Party Patriots tussle with the Portage ROTC? Some want to believe that this is a tussle, a fight. I think not. It is a discussion which will continue this Wednesday, Apr. 7th,  where those who may not know what a Tea Party is will have an opportunity to receive some firsthand information. I believe that some want it to be a ‘tussle’ as it suits their political agenda. They want to make it a fight between the Northwest Indiana patriots and the Portage High School.  It is just wrong headed of these pundits to create that atmosphere.  Talk about showing colors, we have seen some people who pretend to be with NWIP finally come out of the closet and acknowledge that they used NWIP to launch their political career and meanwhile they work behind the scenes to dismantle and slander that same organization. Creeps.

Is NWI Patriots causing problems with the Portage JROTC?  What is the problem? The Portage JROTC agreed to carry the colors and leave. The school board, accommodating the concerns of one person, Cheryl Oprisko, scheduled a meeting to further discuss the issue. Sounds pretty straightforward to me. It is a discussion, not a fight. The school board invited Northwest Indiana Patriots to this meeting, NWIP didn’t create this scenario, Cheryl Oprisko did. NWIP is responding to an invitation. I hear that one local candidate for office is going to grandstand the meeting in defense of the ROTC claiming that they will sully their reputation by associating with Tea Party event and NWIP. Hmm, when I checked his website, before and after he  came out as a politician, he had photos and videos of his very attendance at these tea party events. In fact, he managed to be a speaker at most of those same tea party events.  This should be fun to watch on Wednesday. He did a little dance on his website with a post to distance himself from NWIP. After using NWIP to advance his political agenda, he no longer needs them, saying that NWIP has ‘changed’. Nothing has changed with NWIP in 1 1/2 years, it is just politically expedient to bash NWIP.  He was for it before he was against it.

Oh horrors that our children desire to be patriots. The JROTC agreed to carry the colors, lead the Pledge of Allegiance and then leave.  Cheryl claims that the event is a poltical event.  I have attended these events and Cheryl has not, so I am trumping Cheryl and Mark Oprisko.  These events are an honoring of veterans and America. It is a gathering of people from all walks of life, your neighbors, your pastor, your friends, your countrymen who love America. I have witnessed 80 year old farmers attend alongside 20-somethings with their young families along with all the other groups represented in society as a whole. Yep, there are speeches regarding the current state of affairs, there are speeches on the Constitution and they do at times have a political bent. Our entire lives are affected by politics in some manner every waking moment of every day. You cannot escape it. The conversations and speeches at a Tea Party event are no different than what citizens may have around their coffee table any day of the year.  It just so happens that the people talking about America at a Tea Party have a microphone.  People who attend these events take what they want from what is said and leave the rest. On this particular day, the Portage JROTC is scheduled to open the event and then leave. They will not be exposed to any patriotism beyond that and this in itself should calm the worried and frightened.

Cheryl Oprisko was a bit rushed, imo, when she blurted to the Post-Tribune newspaper that Tea Party groups are extremist.  Poor choice of words, slanderous actually, when in this day and time, in the aftermath of 9-11, the word extremist easily equates with terrorist.  Cheryl did not do much thinking at all on this matter. My guess is that she reacted as a typical leftist reacts with name calling and trying to sway opinions through using emotionally charged words. Reality and truth have nothing to do when the Left has to protect children from groups openly showing patriotism. They will none of that.

Northwest Indiana Patriots (NWIP) is a legal, 501(c)3 non-profit educational charity. They cannot hold political events siding with one party or candidate over any other. In fact, I know it to be true that members of NWIP include Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Greens, You-Name-It.

So what is Cheryl really trying to protect children from when she says that the Portage Marine Junior ROTC should not carry the colors?

Me thinks she may watch too much Keith Olbermann, lame stream media and leftist talk radio or might have taken Nancy Pelosi’s seriously in her efforts to paint any Tea Party event as dangerous and filled to the brim with extremist and terrorist. If that was indeed the case, why did Nancy Pelosi and crew walk through the middle of hundreds of thousands of these violent extremists carrying a huge gavel to signal the passage of Obamacare?

This is on top of over 1 Million Tea Party extremist/terrorists bringing their violent tea party movement to the Capitol steps on Sept. 12th, 2009 where the largest known march on DC took place and there was not one arrest.

See all those little dots that looks like a field of flowers, that is the extremists crowd that took their concerns to DC on Sept. 12th., 2009. No arrests, no scuffles, no problems with over 1 million people in one place. Now THAT’s ‘extreme’.

See clipped article below.  Visit the link to read it in it’s entirety.

PORTAGE — The Portage Township School Board might have to move a special meeting scheduled for next Wednesday to decide whether to allow the high school Marine Junior ROTC unit to participate at a Northwest Indiana Patriots rally in Valparaiso on April 14. [Meeting is at 3pm, Portage HS Admin Bldg. , 3pm, Wed., April 7th]

At this week’s regular board meeting, member Cheryl Oprisko strongly objected to the cadets posting the American flag and leading the Pledge of Allegiance at the courthouse…which was announced on the group’s Web site www.nwipatriots.com .

“Parents brought this to me. I couldn’t believe it. I think this is an extremist group, and I don’t think our students should be affiliated with any political organization,” she said, telling the rest of the board about what she found on the site.

“I did get a phone call from a parent who was also concerned,” board member Deb Ekdahl said.

Oprisko’s motion to deny the permission for the appearance received no response.

Board member Bill Fekete said he recalled high school football players appearing at polling places for Democratic Party candidates.

“As a taxpayer in Portage, I have a real issue with sending students to an event like this,” said Mark Oprisko, Cheryl’s husband.

Board president Terry Hufford suggested the special meeting, to take place before April 14.

Portage Township Schools Supt. Michael Berta said senior Marine instructor Maj. John Johnston and Principal Caren Swickard will be at the special meeting and defended the cadets’ appearance.

“Our students have been asked to participate in the posting of the colors of our country, and that’s what they responded to. This is not an affiliation,” Berta said.

[Faith Jones, Founder of NWIP] noted that when the Valparaiso Board of Works granted a permit for the rally, city attorney David Hollenbeck said their previous meetings have been orderly and nonviolent.

Johnston said he took the request from Jones to Swickard, who approved it. Swickard also was contacted and said the involvement was “strictly nonpolitical” and the cadets would leave after performing their duties.

Meeting Information here.  (“The meeting has been moved to the West Cafeteria of the High School.
You will enter the building through Door F and turn right at the first
hallway. The cafeteria is the first door. There should be some signage.”)

Pre-Order Your Official 9-12 Panoramic Photo Poster Today!

On September 12th you made history.  The 9-12 Taxpayer March on Washington was truly one of the most overwhelmingly beautiful and important days for economic freedom and individual liberty I have witnessed in my life. Hundreds of thousands of Americans gathered in Washington D.C. for the march, a wonderful “mob” of humanity that quickly overwhelmed all of our carefully planned logistics and the city’s transportation infrastructure.

(click here to view larger image)

Simply said, the Taxpayer March on Washington was the largest gathering of fiscal conservatives in the history of our nation’s capital. Nothing else comes close by comparison. Indeed, this was indisputably one of the largest protests of any kind ever in D.C.

Due to overwhelming demand, we have produced the Official 9-12 Panoramic Photo Poster. For a limited time only, with a minimum donation of $19.99 (includes shipping and handling), you can own a piece of history!  To commemorate this momentous occasion, FreedomWorks is pre-releasing the official 9-12 Taxpayer March on Washington Poster, which depicts in dramatic fashion the crowd of hundreds of thousands who marched for freedom!**

The Flat Tax Is Not Flat and the FairTax Is Not Fair

During the 912dc March on Washington we saw signs promoting FairTax and people handed out literature regarding FairTax. At local and national events, demonstrations, protests I have personally witnessed the FairTax people being active. That is just my observation and imo, just because they have organized themselves to be more visible, their presence at Tea Party meetings, rallies and protests doesn’t equate to FairTax being a better option than Flat Tax or any other of the concepts being floated out there.

I am one that wants information. So when I am constantly handed FairTax info, I become suspicious and ask ‘What is this FairTax stuff and why is it being shoved in my hand and held in front of my face. What’s the deal with  this?” I know that any pro FairTax promo handout is not going to give me the real scoop on the downside of that crusade.

With that in mind, I located an analysis and have shared it below.  Mind you, I am still researching for information and I urge others to dig deeper also. Since FairTax and Flat tax are the two positions that have donned boxing gloves, I will share what I have found regarding those two positions. Please feel free to add your two cents.

The Flat Tax Is Not Flat and the FairTax Is  Not Fair

by Laurene M. Vance

This talk was given at the 2009 Austrian Scholars Conference at the Mises Institute. It is available as an MP3 audio download.

Our current income tax system, inaugurated in 1913 with the adoption of the 16th Amendment, began with a 1 percent tax on taxable income above $3,000 ($4,000 for married couples). A series of surcharges of up to 6 percent were applied to higher incomes, with the maximum rate being 7 percent on taxable income over $500,000. Less than 0.5 percent of the population ended up paying income tax.

From these humble beginnings, the income tax soon blossomed, thanks to World War I, into a tax with a minimum rate that doubled and a maximum rate that reached 77 percent on income of over $1 million. The rates did not fall significantly until 1925. In the middle of the Great Depression, the top rate rose to 79 percent. During World War II, the tax rate for those in the highest income bracket reached an astounding 94 percent. The Internal Revenue Code of 1954 resulted in 24 brackets with rates ranging from 20 to 91 percent. The top rate remained at 91 percent until 1964. Under the Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981 and the Tax Reform Act of 1986, the top marginal tax rates were lowered to 50 and 28 percent respectively. The Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 established the current tax brackets of 10, 15, 25, 28, 33, and 35 percent.

There is no question that the federal tax code is too long, too complex, too intrusive, too confusing, and too inequitable. The members of Congress responsible for the tax code would not even disagree. As a consequence, cries for tax reform can always be heard from every quarter – and especially around election time. There are even organizations dedicated solely to tax reform, such as Americans for Tax Reform, Reform AMT, Citizens for Tax Justice, and Americans for Fair Taxation. Since the federal government is always looking to increase its revenue while at the same time making Americans feel better about paying their taxes, it has also climbed aboard the tax-reform bus, most recently in 2005 when President Bush formed the President’s Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform.

1,982,760 – Can you say Two Million? Can you hear us Now? 912dc March on Washington.

Cspan has a tape of the event. It is almost 3 hours of live coverage.  I have included a link at the end of this post. Take a look at The MOB, the angry, irrational, scary protesters who gathered. Can we just say that 2 million people who knocked on Congresses’ door on Saturday, Sept. 12th, 2009 can’t all be confused, uninformed, right wing, paid protesters, racists, bigoted, ignorant fringes of the population? From my personal experiences, for every one person who was able to make the trip, one hundred others wanted to be there.

This event is a piece of the United States history.  The current administration has control of most media outlets. We are able to view the lack of coverage from, for example, NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN as indicators that we can no longer see the truth or hear the news from those agencies. The current administration has swallowed them up and they are now the mouthpiece for government controlled information. Can anyone say North Korea, Venezuela? State controlled media is here in the USA. Obama recently added a FCC czar. Do the math folks. The intent and purpose of this FCC czar is to control the information given to the American People and ‘redistribute’ the media airwaves to state controlled left wing organizations. They have already begun the process and that is another post to be aired down the road.

So much BS, so little time.

Here is another video I took of the march. There were waves and waves of people.  During the march, as we walked down Pennsylvania Avenue, we heard a rumble, sounding like a low roar, with the sound getting louder as it neared. We couldn’t make out what was being said until the wave of the chant neared us. It became clear that the crowd was saying, “You Lie. You Lie.” and we joined in as the wave became us and those in front of us caught the wave and picked it up. It was a very surreal experience, very moving and powerful.

We can easily say that 2 million patriots attend this historic event. Zac Moilanen calculates the number to be

Zac Moilanen – Indiana University (Leave it up to a Hoosierite) has a PDF HERE outlining the calculations for The Real Number of Protesters at the 9/12 Washington, D.C. March. Considering that the government and the State run media refuse to report accurately, Zac took up the project.

Sept. 17th, Constitution Day

Yesterday was Constitution Day. I did not forget what day it was; I am just a little late in getting a post up. Dr. Kate has some great posts regarding the constitution. Bookmark her site because she stays on top of it and writes about the constitution as it relates to what is happening daily with the Feds and our lives. She does this in a very readable style, easy to understand. You can find her site here at Dr. Kate’s View.

Below is a copy of a post from the Tenth Amendment Center:

This Constitution Day, Try Something New: Ignore the Feds!

Posted on 16 September 2009

by Michael Boldin

There’s plenty of federal holidays for Americans to celebrate.  On July 4th, there’s independence from King George’s England.  On the first Monday in September, a holiday was dedicated to the “social and economic achievements of American workers.”  Other days throughout the year celebrate autumn harvest, soldiers who died in the civil war and even a person who sailed to this continent nearly three centuries before the country was “founded.”

When there’s no federally-sanctioned holiday to call upon, protesters and activists across the political spectrum often pick “important” dates to schedule events to bring attention to their cause.  We’ve seen protests on Tax Day, Independence Day, May Day, Earth Day, and more.  And, just last week, we saw great importance placed on a day that doesn’t even have a letter in its name, 9/12.

But nowhere to be found on these great lists of “federal holidays” or “protest days” is a celebration of the document that defined the principles of liberty that this country was supposedly founded upon – the Constitution.

LIMITING POWER

The Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787, and every year that date passes by with hardly a sound.  Sure, now that it’s considered a day of “federal observance” you’ll find government schools around the country including it in their lesson plans.  But these discussions generally focus on “Constitution Trivia” instead of what’s really important. While it may be good to educate our young on how many years a Senator serves, or how Supreme Court justices are appointed, it’s not enough.  Seriously lacking in the public discourse is the actual purpose of the Constitution – its underlying principles.

When the Constitution was being considered for ratification, there was strong opposition from famous American figures that included George Mason and Patrick Henry. One major reason for this was a fear of too much power.  The founding generation spent their lives toiling under a tyranny – a government without limits.  But, when the Constitution was written, it was done to codify in law that the powers of government would be limited to those which had been delegated to it.  The entire system was created under the principle of popular sovereignty – that ‘We the People of the Several States’ created the government, and all powers not delegated to it, were retained.

Obama to all Americans, “If You misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out.” Hey Obama, we showed up, you didn’t.

Well, Obama, we arrived on your and Congresses front door, stood at the steps of the Capitol building. We showed up and you did not. You threatened to call out the American people as if what you say are the only words having merit? We didn’t wait for more taunts from you, we showed up anyway. The American People have more knowledge about the various healthcare plans you tried to railroad through Congress than you have demonstrated in any of your healthcare campaign speeches where you behave like a snake-oil salesman. We want honesty and facts, not campaign speeches from a sitting pResident.

If your plan for a government takeover of healthcare was such an honorable and beneficial plan, you would not be hitting the road and the airwaves, once again, campaigning, trying to pull wool over the people’s eyes. It doesn’t matter whether you disguise your intentions of a government controlled health care plan. It doesn’t matter what you call what you are doing.  Every proposed healthcare plan is currently unconstitutional.  Start telling the truth to the American people. ( I KNOW YOU don’t wanna hear those two words again, you know, the words blurted by Mr. Wilson.) Tell them that this latest healthcare revision still has the language that gives the Federal government control over healthcare and that you just mixed some words around to try and hide your motive.

EXCERPTS OF THE PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS TO A JOINT SESSION OF CONGRESS TONIGHT:

I am not the first President to take up this cause, but I am determined to be the last. It has now been nearly a century since Theodore Roosevelt first called for health care reform. And ever since, nearly every President and Congress, whether Democrat or Republican, has attempted to meet this challenge in some way. A bill for comprehensive health reform was first introduced by John Dingell Sr. in 1943. Sixty-five years later, his son continues to introduce that same bill at the beginning of each session.

This is the plan I’m proposing. It’s a plan that incorporates ideas from many of the people in this room tonight – Democrats and Republicans. And I will continue to seek common ground in the weeks ahead. If you come to me with a serious set of proposals, I will be there to listen. My door is always open.

But know this: I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it’s better politics to kill this plan than improve it. I will not stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are. If you misrepresent what’s in the plan, we will call you out. And I will not accept the status quo as a solution. Not this time. Not now.

Well, we accepted your challenge to the tune of 2 Million Americans from all walks of life. You had 810,000 people attend your coronation. The American people arrived on your doorstep Sept. 12th, 2009 numbering two times that amount, to tell you to ‘Knock it Off’.

Over at  iOwnTheWorld.com there is the photo shown below, a high resolution panorama shot of the 912dc March on Washington.

Hmm, looks like there are a few more than tens of thousands and it really sends home the message that the ‘mainstream’ (now referred to as ‘fringe’) news media that refused to cover the largest protest/rally/march/demonstration in Washington, DC’s HISTORY are truly a media outlet owned and pawned by the federal government. We cannot trust what they say.

Look at this photo.  Just LOOK at it. And I had to reduce it in size in order to get it into the post. L-O-O-K   A-T  I-T.

I couldn’t get the whole photo in the post.  You will have to click on the photo to see it in its entirety.   This post only shows you half of the image.
